Roatán is a department of the Bay Islands that is made up of 3 islands, of which Roatán is the largest. Its people are known as Garifuna and the official language is Spanish, although English is also spoken on some islands. This island is located 68 kilometers off the Honduran coast in the Caribbean Sea. One thing I love about this place is how relaxing it is on its beaches. We listen to the waves and see so many beaches around us.
But as I said before, the island is the largest and is most famous for its beaches and diving sites, tourists can swim face to face with sharks, hug sloths and spend time with monkeys. There are bars and street parties where there is
traditional music and dancing, which is used when tourists want to relax.
West Bay is one of the most popular and beautiful beaches in Roatan, where many people gather as it is the largest and busiest beach. The beach has crystal clear turquoise waters and incredible sand. Many people go as tourists and more gringos go to this beautiful beach because it seems like paradise to them. Everything is paid for in dollars and there is a lot of security and there are police watching the tourists.
In conclusion, Roatan is famous for being one of the best places in the world, for its activities and its waters.
