October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Aiken High School is dedicated to supporting this important cause! All month long, we will be selling breast cancer awareness keychains, hair bows, ribbons, and dedication ribbons in the main lobby. All items are $1, except hair bows, which will be $2. On October 31, we will celebrate our first annual Pink Out Day, encouraging all students to dress in all pink.
To participate, students must wear a pink bracelet, which will be available for just $1 from October 21 to October 30. Please remember that while you show your support, the dress code will still be strictly enforced. Additionally, on October 31, during the 7th and 8th bell, we will host a heartfelt pink balloon release in front of the school to honor those who have lost their battle with breast cancer and to celebrate those who have survived. We invite JCG students and staff to join us for this touching ceremony, which will include a guest speaker and recognition of breast cancer
survivors.
This initiative is proudly brought to you by the 9th – 12th grade JCG classes. Join us in raising awareness and showing support for those affected by breast cancer!
