JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps) is a program that focuses on leadership and a step in the right direction when it comes to things you want to do in the future. This year
was the first time the JROTC class went on a field trip and it was to a Cincinnati Reds Game. We got to meet with an older JROTC program from Riverside High School and learn how they
do things such as ceremonies, traditions, and different events they go through while in their program. They were our age so it made it even more interesting when they listed off the amount of opportunities we could experience.
Our field trip was this: we got to the school, made sure we were in correct uniform (military boots, clothes, etc.). We then went over what may happen if we were to be in an actual ceremony. Once we finished our ceremony there, we got to eat ice ream and watch the Reds game. We even got showed on the jumbotron!
