The Aiken football team has been young: for years there were about three seniors on the team, and mostly freshmen and sophomores. But now the team is built up of juniors and seniors that have grown with each other and they all truly believe we can make a run for a championship. Your Aiken Falcons plan of proving everyone in the conference wrong coming off a 2-10 season the previous year. During the summer the Falcons were working to ensure
this does not happen again; they had a 7v7 tournament out in Bowling Green, Ohio, which they went 5-1 losing in the semi-finals 12-15. They also raised over $8,500 to get new gear/equipment for the upcoming season.
Aiken suffered a huge loss week 1 with a key player of the team “Adrian Smith, #6 Jr” suffering a season ending injury in the first game of the year. Although this hurt the team they decided to use this as motivation and defeat the team 46-0, quoting “For A6”.
